Sooooooooo, this week was great!!! Our dear young investigator, Yair (11 years old), was baptized on Friday. It was great and he shared an awesome testimony afterwards. He said that when he started to read the scriptures and go to church he felt good. BUT now he feels great. He also said that he KNOWS the Book of Mormon is true. It honestly was one of the sweetest and greatest testimonies.
The night before his baptism my testimony of how God answers prayers was strengthened immensely. We had planned to have a lesson with Yair to make sure he was good to go for his baptism. When we arrived no one was home. We went and visited someone else but when we returned afterwards he still wasn't home. We went to his neighbor's house (familia Rodriguez- they are members and we always visit with Yair with them). They were worried that maybe Yair's grandpa had taken him on a trip or something so that he wouldn't get baptized the next day. (Back story- Yair lives with his dad and grandpa and his dad gave us permission for his baptism but his grandpa is not a fan of it.) We were all feeling sad and nervous about the situation so we decided to pray. The whole family and us knelt down and Esteban (the dad of la familia Rodriguez) said a prayer. As he was finishing the prayer we heard the car of Yair pull up to his house. :) :) :) About 10 minutes later Yair came over and we were able to talk with him for a few minutes. He felt really bad that he missed our lesson but was ready and excited for his baptism the next day. WHAT AN ANSWER TO OUR PRAYER. Wonderful. :)
Sooooooo, this week was great. Unfortunately I don't have time to write more but yeah, good week! :) Love you all! I know that God lives and always listens to and answers our prayers. You can know this for yourself too! :)
