Time is passing faster and faster . . . . .

With my new companion! :) Hermana Fry! and Presidente y Hermana Zanni :)

Just siiiiiiinging in the rain! with a friendly dog :)

Check this out! during the world cup there was a lot of crazy stuff...

Sometimes it gets a little muddy..

With Ana and Julieta- two of the Zanni kids! So cute!

Teaching our English class!

Our oven doesn't work and we wanted to make brownies so we tried to do brownie pancakes...nailed it! haha. not.

Another week in the life of an Argentinian missionary has flown by!!!! It just keeps getting faster and faster!!! But I am trying to live everyday working hard and using the time how my Heavenly Father wants me too. :)

Soooooooo, Hermana Fry and I are working hard! We have been trying to find some new investigators and we have definitely seen a lot of blessings. A week ago we felt impressed to knock a door...actually it was a voice machine thing (haha, I don't know what it is called in English but we talk through a box in front of the house). A lot of the time the people answer the phone box thing and tell us that in that moment they are not interested. But this time was different!!! The woman, Maria, heard the name of the church and came to the door! She said that her husband was an active member when he was little but hasn't gone in a very long time. In that moment she really was busy but told us to pass by another day. Soooo a few days later we went back. She answered the door with tears in her eyes. She didn't tell us exactly what was her health problem but she was distraught and we were able to talk with her some about the Atonement of Christ and how he knows exactly what she is going through. At the end of our time together we told her that we were going to give her the Book of Mormon. She looked at us with big eyes and an open mouth. ´´Seriously, you are going to give it to me? For ME? My own copy??´´ She took it and held it close. She told us that she would start reading it that very night. :) She is really busy this week doing medical studies but we were able to meet her husband in the street a few days ago and he also told us that after all of the busyness with the medical stuff he would like to visit with us. Sooooo. Miracle. Blessing. I really just LOVED how she treated the Book of Mormon like the precious word of God that it is.

Also, things are going well for Alejandra and her step daughter Diana! They both want to get baptized but Alejandra is still struggling with the getting married thing. She already had plans to get married next year and the change to do it now is a bit hard. But we are working on it! Diana, however, CAN get baptized soon! I just love her! We visited her Tuesday and she showed us that she was reading in the Book of Mormon in 1 Nephi chapter 4. Then we visited us Saturday and she was in chapter 9!! :) She remembered her baptism date and told us boldly that she had already told her dad that she is going to become Mormon. :) haha, so she is doing well!

Another change! Our ward is bigger now! Yesterday there was a change in ward boundaries and we now are bigger with more members! We are very excited about this. Our cute little ward has been struggling with having people to fill callings and I know that this change was heaven sent. :)

Well, all is well here! I am once again being reminded of the power of the Gift of Tongues. Hermana Fry doesn't even have two weeks in Argentina and can already speak and understand really well. Her first Sunday here she was already giving a talk in the Sacrament meeting. :) Haha, She is great and I am blessed to be able to be with her!

LOVE YOU ALL! Have the best week ever!!!!

I know God lives! I know the power to act in his name is found in the priesthood. I know the Holy Ghost will lead and guide us if we do what he tells us. I know Jesus Christ was resurrected and because of that all of us will do the same someday. I know He loves us and helps us!

Con amor,

New Transfer! : )

I HAVE A NEW COMPANION. :) Her name is Hermana Fry and she is fresh from the States! I went to the mission home in Rosario on Wednesday with the other trainers and had a meeting thingy with the President and then met our new comps and had lunch together. She is awesome and can already speak and understand Spanish really well. I am excited to be with her and see what we can do here with the Lord!

A bunch of last week was doing all of the stuff for transfers but it was still great. I am getting to know the area and the people better. We had a great lesson with two of the stepdaughters of our great investigator Alejandra. They are Diana (16 years old) and Milagros (14 years old). Diana was very happy to show us that she had already read a lot of the Book of Mormon. In the end of the lesson Milagros asked us if she could have her own copy so that she could read it too. OF COURSE. :) So this family is doing well! We just need to help get Alejandra married and then we are good to go! :)

Sorry this email is a bit shorter but know that all is well here and I will share more about the miracles we are seeing next week! :) I know that God is our Father and everything that happens in this life really is to help us be better people and more like our Savior Jesus Christ. I love you all! Have an awesome week!!!

Soccer, soccer, soccer . . . . . . Vamos Argentina!!!!!!

Sister Evans and me with some of the Zanni Family

Sooooooooooooooooooooo, if you were not aware, the WORLD CUP has been going on for about a month now. And soccer is kind of HUGE here. It has been quite the experience! A lot of times we have had to reduce our schedules so that we are studying safely in our apartment during the games. Argentina was blessed to have gone to the FINALS. That is pretty big! And exciting! And noisy...haha, a lot of car horns have been going on lately. And t-shirts and flags have been sold at every street corner. Haha, crazy stuff. Well. Argentina didn't win the world cup BUT it has been about 20 years since we have even made it to the finals...so we are still feeling pretty proud. :)

Well, more then all of the World Cup stuff, this week was good! We had a meeting with the new president (Presidente Zanni) and his family on Tuesday. MAN they are awesome! I love them a lot already!!!!!! There are SEVEN kids in this great family. One is on the mission in Taiwan but all of the others are there. It is fun to have a big family around!

Other awesome and wonderful thing! Our investigator Alejandra went to church again! And one of her daughters went with her too!!!!! :) I just love her so much! We had a lesson with them on Saturday and she started to cry. She told us that she had been reading in the Book of Mormon (she read about 5 pages!!!!) right before she went to sleep. She said that she has been having a lot of problems with not being able to sleep for a long time now but when she read from the Book of Mormon she just felt peace and was able to sleep. She woke up surprised that she hadn't had problems that night. She told us all of that and STARTED TO CRY. YES! Haha, that is the Spirit right there working with her and helping her to gain a testimony of the truthfulness of that wonderful and important book. Sooooo, she is just awesome. AND she excepted a baptism date. Buuuuuuuuut, she isn't married....and she has to do that first. Sooo, we are still working on that. :)

In other news, this week is transfers! These past six weeks have seriously flown by sooooooooo fast. And yesterday I received the call to be a trainer again. Tomorrow I go to Rosario to get my newbie!!! :) I have had a great time with Hermana Evans and am going to miss her but the good thing is that I will see her again in the States. :)

LOVE YOU ALL! I know Jesus Christ lives and is here for us every step of the way!

My Week- Birthday, One Year Mark, and 4th of July! :)

Hello all! This was quite the week of special days! I turned 20 years old! I now officially have been a missionary for a YEAR. And then, you know, there was our great nation's independence day. :)

I seriously had a great birthday! Thanks again for all of the birthday wishes!!! That day was Pday so we were able to relax a little bit and do somethings. Like....go Walmartin'! THERE IS A WALMART NEAR MY AREA. I REPEAT THERE IS A WALMART NEAR MY AREA. I was beginning to think that they really didn't exist and it was just a dream...but nope! There actually is a Walmart here in Argentina! What next? A JCPenny? haha, what is going on?? Haha, but seriously, I never thought before that I would want to go to Walmart for my birthday. But I did, and we went, and it was really fun. :) We also went and got some great Argentine ice cream and my district sang to me. :) And then, two days later, my companion with the elders in the area next to ours and a member family threw me a surprise asado! Or, BBQ! And a cake! It was so sweet! :) Basically, it was great birthday! I am definitely blessed! :)

Bueno, this week was good! We have a great new investigator!!!! His name is Dario and is a friend of a member .He visited with Elders about 3 years ago and even went to church once. But there was a lot of problems with the woman he was living with and he left town for a while and things happened...but he ran into this member about 2 weeks ago and asked if there still are missionaries. YES! We had a great lesson with him and the member on Tuesday and he accepted a date to be baptized!!! The timing of the Lord is really interesting...he wasn't ready to be baptized 3 years ago but the Lord was preparing him and now he is! :) I'll keep you all updated!

We have also been visiting the investigator Alejandra and her kids a lot. She even went to church yesterday and really liked it!!! And another member told her and us that Alejandra´s parents were actually baptized! Alejandra didn't know that! They had both died when she was younger. Soooooooo, she has been through a lot but likes our visits and we have a lot of hope for her!!! :)

Okay, love you all A LOT. Have an awesome week! I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us! I know that He knows EXACTLY how we feel and that we are never alone.

Like Elder Holland says,

"Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel. Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said: “I will not leave you comfortless: [My Father and] I will come to you [and abide with you].”

I know that is true!!!! I love you all! have a great week!

Con amor,

Hermana Woodfield
