2 John 1:12
My message today can be summed up in a scripture. Please turn to 2 John 1:12.
Thank you.
Hermana Woodfield
(Comment from Lindsey's Dad: Lindsey spent her letter writing time this week on a Christmas Day skype call with her family, thus the short letter. To put the scripture she chose in context, Lindsey's mission ends next week. She will return home to Texas after 18 months of missionary service.)
Thank you.

Feliz Navidad!!
Something that has become very apparent to me during my mission is that the Lord is in the details. It just amazes me how we are always in the right place at the right time. How God cares about every small little thing, however insignificant it is. He laughs with us and cries with us...what a truly loving Father He is. This truth humbles me and makes me so grateful for the PERFECT plan that He has prepared for each of us. Every single detail- every single experience that happens has a purpose. If we always look for the good in it and trust in God´s wisdom and power we will find peace with whatever it is that happens. Just some thoughts from my head lately. :)
Well folks, it is mid December and the heat is steadily increasing. It still makes me laugh to pass stores and see little Christmas trees propped up right next to pool toys and floaties. Those things should never go together, haha. But I love being here and being able to be a full time missionary at such a wonderful time of year. Like I mentioned last week, the church is doing a new program called ´´He is the Gift´´. I absolutely love it! The true meaning and celebration of Christmas has become a lot clearer to me. Our Savior Jesus Chris is the BEST gift we will EVER receive. We should show our gratitude for such a priceless and eternity-changing present. As we have talked about Christmas with a lot of people in the street it strikes me as very sad how MANY say that they are not excited for Christmas. WHY NOT?? Many reply that it is too stressful, time consuming, a waste of money, or an even sadder time to remember lost loved ones. I feel the need to shout out rejoicing that the TRUE reason for Christmas is CHRIST. It isn't about all of the worldly things or about missing people, it is about JOY and GRATITUDE that through CHRIST we can be with each other for forever!!! Let us all be more joyful as we feel the love of our Heavenly Father in letting His perfect son, Jesus Christ, be born in a fallen world to save each and every one of us. What a beautiful message there is to Christmas. :)
I have written quite a bit about my feelings...the experiences this week were awesome too! We are finding new investigators and still helping the Britos family and Romero family to progress. They are doing wonderfully and it is awesome to see the new light that is in their lives from the gospel of Jesus Christ. :)
I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Feliz Navidad!!!!! :) Remember to give Christ a Christmas present. :)

Saint Mary's Day in Argentina
Hola todos!!!! :)
Sooooo, today is Saint Mary Day here...a big holiday. Everything is closed down and it was hard to find a place with computers. SO, I am out of time to write. Sorry that this is so short. BUT everything is going really well!!!! Melina and Jose are happy and doing wonderfully. The Romero family is progressing and doing well. They are reading a lot in the Book of Mormon and have gone to church for over a month now. :)
I am EXTREMELY grateful to be a missionary and share this gospel that I love so much with everyone. :)
Okay, I have an assignment for all who read this!!! The church has made a big effort this month to help bring everyone closer to Christ through a program called ´´He is the Gift´´. There is a website that has a 3 minute video that you can share on Facebook. The website is christmas.mormon.org. I know that if everyone watches it and then shares it on facebook MILLIONS of people will feel the love and hope of Christ more in their lives. Please do it. :)
Well, that´s all for now folks! Sorry again that I can't write more. I love you all! I know the gospel of Jesus Christ heals ALL wounds- physical and spiritual ones. :)

Best Week Eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!
Sooooo, basically, this was an amazing, fantastic and incredible week. WHY?? Our wonderful cute Britos family took major steps!!!! On Thursday they got MARRIED and on Saturday Jose BAPTIZED his new wife, Melina!!!!!
Words cannot adequately describe the pure joy and gratitude I feel. They were EXTREMELY prepared when we met them. I am just so grateful that I was privileged to part of the process of helping them. There were a lot of plans we had to make about the marriage and baptism and celebration afterwards but in the end everything worked out perfectly. :) It truly was an amazing and spiritual experience for Melina and Jose and we could see the joy glowing from them.
These are just some of the most amazing experiences a person can have. Hermana Randall and I were really worn out at the end of the week but soooooo unbelievably happy. I just really feel like I had been waiting to know and help this family. After so much time and work in my dear Santa Fe City, I feel deeply grateful to my loving Father in Heaven to have had such an experience. Like I said before, it is hard to write words to describe it all. I know this email is pretty emotional but I can't help but share the week we had. :)
On a slightly different note, we had to become expert cockroach killers. We showed up the day before the baptism and there was a COCKROACH in the baptismal font. Now that will just not do. So we killed it and cleaned it up. A few minutes passed and there was another one! Killed it and cleaned it up. A few minutes later...ANOTHER ONE. That process went on for quite awhile. Finally we found Raid and got a little crazy spraying it everywhere. :) Eventually we were free of them but I definitely flinched a little bit when Melina opened the door to see the pool before the service. But THANKFULLY it was roach free. The tiny blessings, you know? :)
Also, just want to point out that JOSE was who baptized Melina. He was able to receive the priesthood necessary and do the ordinance. It was wonderful. :)
Okay, well...it was a really good week. I know that God lives and that He loves us. If we trust in Him and work hard He will always guide us! I KNOW that to be true!
Love you all!!!

Heavenly Father knows best
I KNOW that Heavenly Father ALWAYS knows best!!! There have been so many times during my mission when I think we should do something a certain way but we end up feeling impressed to change something and it works out 10 times better then ever imagined!!! Wow...that was a long sentence...but the point is that God always knows better. This past Tuesday we had one of those experiences. Hermana Randall and I had planned out a great family home evening with some awesome recent converts and our wonderful investigator Romero family. We were really excited and looking forward to it. About 20 minutes before we were going to meet up with the Romero family, Leonela Romero sent us a message saying that she had to go to work and that her mom was sick. *Wheeeeeeeeooouuuuuuuu THUD. Explosion sound.* That was how we felt. It was going to be sooo perfect!!! Why did it fall through??
We were both a little sad and frustrated about it but tried to focus on the fact that God always has a perfect plan. And yes...He does. We prayed about what to do instead and felt impressed to visit the Rivas family. They are a part member family that Hermana Fry and I had found contacting about two months ago. They are wonderful but we have been at a stuck place with how to help them progress. We have been inviting them to church now for two months and the excuse has always been until now that they don't get much sleep with their two little girls and it is hard to get up and go in the morning. Well, this evening we had a good lesson about the restoration of the gospel. It was good but we still didn't feel like much progress had been made. BUT THEN Hermano Rivas (the member) started talking about how he first knew the true church had been restored. That started his confession about how he is embarrassed to come back to church after being away for so long. It kept going and it came out that him and his wife are also having a lot of problems with each other and just a whoooole bunch of stuff that we didn't know before. We literally felt like the blinders were taken off of our eyes and the full iceberg had been uncovered. We now know so much better how to help them!!!! We both left their house speechless and humbled. If the family home evening hadn't been canceled and we hadn´t gone to the Rivas house, we wouldn`t have had such a great lesson happen. Hermana Randall and I talked about how we felt a bit like Peter when Jesus Christ told him, ´´O thou of little faith, where fore didst thou doubt? (Matthew 14:31)´´ Why did we ever doubt the reason behind our change of plans? God always knows best and if we trust in Him He will open up even better doors. It was a lesson learned. :)
The whole week was good! Melina and Jose are preparing for the marriage on THURSDAY and her baptism on SATURDAY. It is going to be a good week!!!!! :D Also, the Romero family are doing wonderfully! Leonela and Ricardo took us to the home of Ricardo`s family so that we can teach them as well. Leonela shared her testimony and Ricardo quickly volunteered to do the closing prayer. :) Daniel shared with us on Saturday that the night before the read from the Book of Mormon together and that he just feels good. IT IS WONDERFUL. These people are just so precious and I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has prepared them so much! :)
Well, love you all! Have an awesome week! The church is true, the book is blue, and God loves you! :) :)
Con amor,
Hermana Woodfield
